Our Signature Cupcake

         In 2016, Maddie was diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS), a rare connective tissue disorder, as well as many other associated conditions. EDS provides many challenges with day to day life and is a very misunderstood condition with no cure. It often takes years to get a diagnosis.

        The symbol for EDS is a zebra. Medical students are taught "when you hear hoof beats, think horses not zebras" which means look for the common diagnosis, not the unusual. Our symbol became the zebra because sometimes when you hear hoof beats, it really is a zebra. Zebras do exist!

        Maddie's signature cupcake, "Zebra Strong" represents the energy, determination and courage it takes to live with this disease . The Zebra Strong cupcake is a vanilla cake with chocolate stripes, frosted with a vanilla and chocolate buttercream swirl, topped with zebra popcorn. A percentage of the proceeds made from this cupcake go toward EDS research to find a cure.
